The Medias Central European Film Festival

Romgaz directly supported Medias Central European Film Festival (MECEFF), a cultural event that rejoined the famous names of the European and Israel cinema, being equally a cultural and multiethnic project.

At its first edition, Medias European Film Festival (MECEFF) was held in Medias, Dumbraveni and Tarnaveni during 5-11 September. The event aims to meet the most recent movies of cineastes from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, Hungary, Romania, Poland, Slovenia and Israel, country specially invited in 2011.

Besides the 50 projected movies, the schedule was completed by projections, symposiums, meetings with national and foreign celebrities, theatrical performances and concerts.

The show has proved itself a real success, counting the presence of 7400 viewers, and enjoying the film critics’ appreciation.

The MECEFF Grand Prix 2011 was won by the movie “Little Rose” Poland 2010, directed by Jan Kidawa-Blonski.
