The National Tour Stradivarius

 

The National Tour Stradivarius, promoted by violinist Alexandru Tomescu and pianist HORIA MIHAIL, will itinerate in 15 towns and the funds collected will be destined for helping the hard-of-hearing children from Romania.  
The last year concerts were dedicated to raising funds for Blind People Association from Romania.  
The Stradivarius-Elder violin was bought by the Romanian in 1956 and until 1997 it was held by maestro Ion Voicu. Following the competition organized in 2007, by the Ministry of Culture, Alexandru Tomescu won the right to play this musical instrument.
