“Let’s play and clean” – Green education project

“Let’s play and clean” Project, 4th edition, arrives in the Hipodrom district at June 1st, in Sub Arini district at June 3rd, in the new park of Terezian at June 7th and in Turnisor at June 10th.

During four events, the Sibiu separate collection characters – PetRică, Tanti Rezi, BioRel, Mărie-Hârtie and Miticlă - go from one district to another, and there take part in greening actions and show the children by means of 3D technology what happens with the waste they throw away. As in the previous years, the project enjoys ROMGAZ support, thereby promoting the separate collection of waste in the county of Sibiu.

The five characters use state-of-the-art technology by means of 3D glasses to show the children and parents from Sibiu where exactly the waste they’ve thrown away ends up, and why separate collection is important.

Accompanied by sanitation specialists and health experts, interested parents and children are going to be involved in a sanitation activity and will clean playgrounds, parks, green areas, and thereafter they will be invited to take part in several interactive events, in a booth specially designed for promoting separate collection and maintaining the clean in Sibiu by clear examples. Furthermore, with the support of the project partners, numerous surprises await the little ones.

“While the summer holidays are approaching, the green areas and playgrounds of Sibiu are animated by a lot of children and parents each afternoon. The sanitation characters - PetRică, Tanti Rezi, BioRel, Mărie-Hârtie and Miticlă - come to life and roam from one district to another to meet the little ones and show them why it is important to maintain the clean and collect separately the waste from home. State-of-the-art 3D footages of Sibiu sorting station and landfill illustrate what happens with thrown away waste and why separate collection is important”, say the event planners.
