Dual Education and Internship
Dual Education
ROMGAZ supports young professionals from vocational education and high-schools and concluded partnership contracts with the following education units:
- Colegiul Școala Națională de Gaz Mediaș (2018 – 2021 and 2022 - 2025);
- Liceul Tehnologic Iernut (2020 – 2023, 2021 -2024 and 2022-2025).
65 individual training contracts were signed in 2022 with students who chose to follow this study programme. These students receive a monthly scholarship of RON 200.
The training areas are the following:
- 14 high-school students (9th grade – class of 2022-2025) – gas production, treatment and distribution operators (Colegiul Școala Națională de Gaz Mediaș);
- 9 high school students (9th grade – class of 2022-2025) – electro mechanic, professional qualification as boiler, steam turbine, auxiliary and heating plant operator (Liceul Tehnologic Iernut);
- 8 high school students (9th grade – class of 2022-2025) – electrical, professional qualification as electrician operating power plants, stations and electrical networks (Liceul Tehnologic Iernut);
- 8 high school students (10th grade – class of 2021-2024) – electrical, professional qualification as electrician operating power plants, stations and electrical networks (Liceul Tehnologic Iernut);
- 9 high school students (10th grade – class of 2021-2024) – electro mechanic, professional qualification as boiler, steam turbine, auxiliary and heating plant operator(Liceul Tehnologic Iernut);
- 7 high school students (11th grade – class of 2020-2023) – electrical, professional qualification as electrician operating power plants, stations and electrical networks(Liceul Tehnologic Iernut) ;
- 10 high school students (11th grade – class of 2020-2023) – electro mechanic, professional qualification as boiler, steam turbine, auxiliary and heating plant operator (Liceul Tehnologic Iernut).
19 dual education graduates were employed in 2022-2023, out of which 5 studied at Liceul Tehnologic Iernut (2 electricians operating power plants, stations and electrical networks and 3 boiler, steam turbine, auxiliary and heating plant operators) and 14 studied at Colegiul Școala Națională de Gaz Mediaș, specialization in gas production, treatment and distribution operators.
Internship
In addition to partnership contracts in dual education, S.N.G.N. Romgaz S.A. concluded a framework agreement with „Școala Națională de Gaz” Medias, which aims to carry out the practical training of students (high school, vocational education, training courses for adults) for specializations: installer of local distribution networks and gas mains, operator in the extraction, treatment, transport and distribution of gas, environmental technician, technician in economic activities.
S.N.G.N. Romgaz S.A. signed internship conventions with Liceul Tehnologic Iernut, Liceul Tehnologic Gheorghe Șincai, Liceul Tehnologic Electromureș (Tg. Mureș) and with Liceul Tehnologic Stănescu Valerian (Târnava).
Romgaz ensures hereby internship of students in the two natural gas production branches and in the power production branch.
In order to carry out the practical training in good conditions, ROMGAZ evaluated the students from a medical point of view, provided them with work and protection equipment and concluded civil liability insurance policies to cover possible damages.
