Social responsibility is part of ROMGAZ business culture and according to the company’s business strategy, this includes business ethics, economic and social equity, environment friendly technologies, fair treatment of workforce, transparent relations with public authorities, moral integrity and investments in the community. 

ROMGAZ is responsive to stakeholder initiatives aimed at harmonizing efforts to improve the quality of life and well-being of present and future generations and provides financial support/partial or full sponsorship of actions and initiatives in the following main areas of community interest: education, social, sport, health, environment. 

ROMGAZ's activities in the field of social responsibility are voluntary, beyond its legal responsibilities, the company being aware of the role it plays in society.

 

ROMGAZ involvment in projects or programs of interest for the progress of communities is motivated by the desire to meet the expectations of society, thus supporting projects that support vulnerable population groups. Education and training develops the community members` capacity to respond to socio-economic, demographic, environmental and technological challenges, and effective investment in human capital through support for education and training is a key component. 

ROMGAZ provides support for developing some medical services enhancement projects and healthcare related projects, aiming especially the areas where ROMGAZ carries out its activity, without excluding the intervention area. 

Supporting community members who show skills in sports performance, responds to the company's desire to invest in the development of a healthy community, sport leading to the development and improvement of the human being as a member of society. The values that sports represent become essential tools for social and educational integration.

ROMGAZ involvement in projects or programs of interest for the progress of communities is motivated by the desire to meet the expectations of society and to support multilateral initiatives that promote sustainable development for the benefit of present and future generations. A number of cultural projects were also supported by ROMGAZ in 2024. 

At ROMGAZ, we believe that the sustainable development of a community begins with small but meaningful gestures made from the heart. That is why we are proud to announce that we are implementing the Charter of Principles of Employee Volunteering, a set of values that puts at the forefront the active involvement of our colleagues in supporting the communities in which we live and work.
