ROMGAZ continues investments in CARAGELE project

Mr. Sebastian Burduja, Romania`s Minister of Energy, Mr. Răzvan Popescu, ROMGAZ CEO, and Mr. Aristotel Jude, ROMGAZ Deputy CEO paid a working visit on the 24th of February 2024 to the drilling site of 76 Rosetti exploration well, designed to the depth of 5000 m as part of the investment program in CARAGELE DEEP area where ROMGAZ intends to drill at least 9 deep exploration wells, an investment estimated at about RON 1 billion.

ROMGAZ continues at high pace the investments in CARAGELE project to provide security of energy supply in the region and to secure Romania`s energy independence.CARAGELE DEEP is a strategic onshore project for ROMGAZ, developed in Muntenia North-East Exploration-Development-Production block, as part of the company`s development strategy for 2021 2030. 
CARAGELE commercial field contributed to Romania’s production for many years, since 2009 when it was declared commercial, gradually developing over time to the current complex production infrastructure.
ROMGAZ is strongly committed to accelerate the implementation of the exploration investment program in CARAGELE area.If, following the drilling, the reserves estimate is confirmed during the next period, the company will immediately bring the wells into production.
