ROMGAZ provided financial support for the project "Purchase of medical equipment laparoscopic surgery tower," initiated by the Municipal Hospital of Mediaș, Sibiu County.

Mediaș Municipal Hospital is a 375-bed hospital serving Medias and the northern part of Sibiu County, with a population of approximately 120,000 inhabitants. The aim is to improve the quality of medical care by enabling the admission, diagnosis, and treatment of people who need general surgery services with a high degree of accuracy in a very short time.

In recent years, funds from SNGN ROMGAZ SA sponsorships have been used to modernize and increase the energy performance of the hospital through the use of energy from renewable sources, using geothermal wells with heat pumps and solar panels; the waterproofing and structure of the ambulance parking lot were redone. Renovation works were carried out in the obstetrics and gynecology department, a 4D ultrasound machine was purchased for the obstetrics and gynecology department, a CT scanner and a mobile diagnostic X-ray machine were purchased for radiology, and an ICU ward was equipped with Covid-specific medical equipment, the recovery ward was renovated and equipped, a laparoscopic tower was purchased for the surgery department, and the newborn ward is being modernized.
