Selective Waste Collection Educational Project

ROMGAZ has chosen to support the superheroes of selective waste collection this year as well, with the aim of having a cleaner county and respecting the environment.

“Let children talk about waste” Project, 4th edition, was launched in Sibiu in May 22 and 23, 2023. Pupils of the Secondary School No. 21, the National College “Octavian Goga”, the Secondary School No. 2, the Secondary School “Regele Ferdinand”, the Secondary School “Nicolae Iorga” and the Inclusive Education Center No. 2 of Sibiu have participated in the project.

By means of VR (virtual reality) glasses the pupils have viewed 360˚ images from the Sibiu sorting and compost station as well as the Cristian landfill to see with their own eyes the effect of selective waste (non)collection.

The representatives of ADI Eco Sibiu and SOMA (Sibiu and Cisnadie Sorting Station Collection, Transport and Management Operator) together with the superheroes PETrică, Mărie-hârtie, BIOrel, Miticlă și Tanti Rezi have answered the questions raised by pupils on selective collection.

This year’s edition will attract more than 2000 pupils interested in how waste is recycled in a proper manner.
